SDS DESTROY RAPE CULTURE FILM SERIES PRESENTS: THE LINE

WHERE IS THE LINE OF CONSENT?

November 25th in the Union Fireside Lounge @ 7pm

Join Milwaukee Students for a Democratic Society for the final installment of our "Destroy Rape Culture" film series.  We will be showing "The Line: Where is the Line of Consent?"

The Line (2009) is written and directed by filmmaker, media strategist, social justice activist, and survivor Nancy Schwartzman.  The film explores the issue of consent, the burden of blame, and the trouble society has distinguishing the two.  It chronicles the experience of a young Nancy Schwartzman who after a one-night stand gone terribly wrong decides to confront her attacker using a hidden camera to record the conversation.  Featuring interviews from sex workers, survivors, and activists about justice, accountability, and today's "rape culture," asks the question: where is the line defining consent?

Sponsored by: Students for a Democratic Society, The Step by Step Collective, Youth Empowered in the Struggle, The Women's Resource Center and more.
